  • Jennifer Dewe-Mathews , DVM

Dr. Jen was born and raised in New York.  She recieved her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2003 from Cornell University.  She then completed a one-year rotating small animal internship in medicine and surgery at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, N.J.  It was there that she met her husband and later moved to southwest Florida.  Dr Jen practiced in Port Charlotte for three years before joining the Estero Animal Hospital team.

Dr. Jen has three black cats: "Nigel", "Chicken", and "Martini with one olive", her one-eyed cat.  She also has two dogs, "Oliver", and "Olivia".  Dr. Jen enjoys spending time with friends, traveling and shopping.

  • Dr. Marc Kanchuk , DVM

Dr. Marc Kanchuk attended UC Davis and obtained three degrees (BS, MS, and DVM).  His masters research and publications explored the reasons why cats gain weight after neutering. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Kanchuk went "back to school" of sorts by first undergoing an intense one year internship in emergency, critical care, and internal medicine. He then went on to further study the specialized field of radiology where he was trained in ultrasound and ran the radioactive iodine program for the treatment of feline hyperthyroidism at the Veterinary Imaging Center of San Diego.
Dr. Marc loves working with animals and thier owners and feels that he is not just treating the family pet, but a family member.  At home he has two hairy family members (two terrier dog mixes) and is married to a wonderful woman who happens to be a veterinary specialist at a nearby clinic. He also has a son that keeps him very busy on his days off.
